Wow.

I thought I would never find something intellectual and, frankly, worthwhile here. This is a masterpiece that proves that we are not great; our entire planet is but an atom, and atom in a grain of sand on an infinite beach.......

Thing Thing Arena 2 Review And Tips

Tips:
Switch to the laser pistol and stand next to the cashier.Get really close and shoot him. He can't hit you it you're close enough, and you'll kill him without even needing to get more ammo.

Thing Thing Arena is a great game with a large number of enemies and weapons. However, it could've been improved. This does exactly that.

No story. Next.

The graphics are continually getting better. This time around, the areas are all recreations of areas in Thing Thing 3, and they look better. Everything also has a greater level of detail. However, enemies no longer show cosmetic damage.

The sound has once again improved. The music is on an equal level with its predescesor, and the gunfire is still varied. However, I'm getting pretty damn sick of the lack of no other sound effects.

It's an arena game like the last game. However, areas are now more varied and large, meaning you'll be jumping around arenas that never look alike. The game adds 3 new modes as well; sentry bomb, which are basically suicide bombers, ultimate mode, where everything comes at you, and practice, where you can practice you accuracy and such. It adds variety and spice.

Overall, I love Thing Thing Arena 2. It improves on the core gameplay of the original, and is great fun. 9 out of 10, play and favorite it now.

Thing Thing 3 Review

Holy sh*t. This...this is one of the best 2D shooters I've ever played. The variety, the story, the gameplay, it's just...all...awesome.
I guess we'll start with the story. 154 has been living in hiding for the past few days, when he is contacted by someone who knows what he is. After informing him that he needs help with something, 154 picks up his pistol and charges. The game gives some explanation to why 154 is such a badass, as well as showing off his personality. He's a likeable guy; he isn't some brooding anithero, or an annoying as hell pretty boy, he just seems like the relatable average Joe.

The graphics ditch realism for the character models in nearly every way. When you kill an enemy using only headshots, their heads explode. The fact that the humans have no limbs is showed off to the fullest. And it's all great fun.

The sound, somehow, is improved. I don't know what it is, but everything just sounds better. And believe it or not, the music is better than TTA's. Shocking, right?

The gameplay is also improved, for one simple reason; vertical scrolling. With that now in place, you can jump around huge levels, get hidden weapons, and spend forever just shooting the hell out of everything. The game actually isn't easy (except the bosses, I'll get to that in a sec). The enemies come completely out of nowhere, and are actually relatively smart; I actually saw a couple using cover (you can now crouch and hide behind solid objects. However, the bosses are the easiest I've ever fought. The first has damaging attacks, but it's easily dodged, and bullets do more damage than they normally do. The final boss has a predictable, barely damaging attack that he all too often aims above you. Not too mention that he can be killed in about a minute using the shotgun. However, this is a barely recognizable flaw, and you'll be back to shooting in no time. There's also a survival option, and it's greatly improved over Thing Thing 2's.

Thing Thing 3 simply cannot get any better. If you like action games at all, you'll love this one. 10/10, favorite it now.

The sound is somehow made better. Every thing sounds

Thing Thing Arena Review

In my Thing Thing 2 review, I forgot to mention the survival mode, and for good reason. The mode was absolutely terrible, and would've dropped the game's score by at least 2 points. However, Weasel seems to have realized its failed potential, and released this game. But is it as good as it could be?

No story. It's an arena game, what do you expect? Next.

The graphics have made a rather clean transition away from the original art style. Instead, the game relies a bit on realism, but it still feels cartoony. In case it wasn't obvious, this is a good thing.

I don't need to say anything about sound. However, the music is improved. In fact, one of the songs just so happens to have been put on my ipod. Seeing as how it's hard as hell for me to like a song that much, you know there's improvement.

Thing Thing Arena plays like a remake of Thing Thing 2, only arena based. In other words, it's mindless and full of strategic weapons, but the enemies are still stupid and the game is still too easy. However, it greatly improves the good things, which forgives the flaws. Except the non exsistent difficulty.

Overall, Thing Thing Arena is a great game that improves on the series' well known positives. 9 out of 10, play and favorite it.

Thing Thing 2 review

I liked the original Thing Thing. It was mindless and stupid, yet fun and original. But how does the sequel hold up?

The story in this installment...is nonexsistent. This is the one entry in the core series with no story, and that's a bad thing. The series has always been known for its surprisingly well told story (among other things), and this is the black sheep.

They also changed the grapical style. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I like the somewhat realistic design mixed with the original. On the other hand, I wish they'd just stuck with the orignal art design.

Sound it still a strength. Once again, the guns sound powerful, and add a sense of epicness. Also, this entry has music! Every level except the first has fantastic music. The first level's music was music was near instantaneously muted.

The gameplay got better. Now each gun actually seems different instead of the game just telling you they are, and you have to find which one works best in each situation. Some people don't like the stamina bar, but I didn't find it a problem. However, it's still to easy, and aiming behind you (which you'll do a lot!) is a pain in the ass. Another thing, there's this annoying system that restricts you from moving on until you kill a certain number of enemies. This is a stupid choice that tries to make up for the fact that there are only two memorable levels in the game, one of which lasts about 20 seconds.

Overall, Thing Thing 2 is an improvement, but not much of one. If you liked the original, and wanted some more great action, this is your game. 8 out of 10, play it now.

Thing Thing review

To start of my reviews, I'm gonna review every Thing Thing. Let's find out how the original holds up.

In this installment, you play as 154, a living weapon developed by Systems Corporation. The story is sparse, almost intriguingly so, but it works in the context of the game.

The art style is strange. The characters are obviously inspired by madness, but they have more of an urban, clean feel. It also for some reason, it reminds me of George Orwell's 1984. Like the story, it works. However, once you go outside, the art style kind of dulls, as the already established style doesn't really work with the bright colors of the background.

The sound design is amazing. Every gun sounds powerful and realistic, and there's no music to get in the way of it. Until you beat the boss. Then, there's this annoying as all hell piano music that, frankly, doesn't belong in the game.

The gameplay is as simple as it gets; you point, you shoot, you win. It's farmiliar, yet fresh. My only complaint is that the game's too damn easy. As there's a cheat that gives you a shit load of guns and 1000 rounds for each, you'll breeze through the game, and beat the final boss in less than 15 seconds. It's still easy if you don't choose the cheat.

Thing Thing is fun. But mindless. But fun. Since the game is so easy and quick, you can play it almost all the time. I give it 8 out of 10. Play it now.
